Blue and White

After an exciting three days in Greenwood (I had a great time everyone!), I got back Saturday afternoon, then went to watch the UNC game with Randi and her friend Kathryn at this great neighborhood bar. We went early and got a great booth downstairs--it was of those big round booths where everyone's got a good view of the big screen TV.

Anyway, we had a cool waiter, Charlie, who kept us entertained and called us all sweetie, and after a few minutes, a couple of well-dressed, well-built gentlemen sat down at the table next to us. A few minutes later, one of them wandered off and left his friend alone for a good bit, so we eventually struck up a conversation with the other guy, who looked so lonely sitting by himself.

As the night developed, the attraction to the guy who'd left and eventually came back (we'll call him White Shirt for future reference), waned pretty quickly--he was rather drunk and asked us which team we played for. I guess something about us just screams "lesbian." Well, after clarifying that we like boys, the second guy (Blue Shirt for future reference), quickly assured me that he didn't have any question, and we chatted for awhile. By the end of the evening, he was at our table, sitting beside me, and a rather drunken White Shirt was pissing off everyone at the bar by cheering loudly for Michigan. Blue Shirt told us White Shirt played football for Notre Dame and actually hates Michigan--he just wanted to piss everyone off. Interestingly enough, White Shirt also played for the Carolina Panthers for a little while.

Near the end of the game, with it clear that UNC was going to win, White Shirt decided he was ready to leave, so he starts to bug Blue Shirt to go -- "C'mon man, just get her number and let's go. She's hot, she's intelligent--get her number, then take her lunch next week." Nice of White Shirt to play matchmaker, but Blue Shirt already had the digits. :) And when they left, I got a kiss on the cheek--from both of them.

So Blue Shirt (I do know his real name--it's kind of unfortunate, because it's the same as the last guy I dated, and of all you who share this blog with me know who that is) called me last night and again tonight. We may do dinner this week--I'll keep you all updated!

Funny... Megan, Mandy and I made some new friends Saturday night as well. We had our own drunken White Shirt guy and Blue Shirt guy plus a yellow shirt guy and several others. It was fun and we even made it to an after hours party for awhile. Sigh... I really miss going out like that and meeting new people. One of these days I'll stop working so hard and actually take time to enjoy myself.

Were they button-down shirt guys? Both White and Blue Shirt were button-downs, untucked with jeans--very nice. Did anybody exchange numbers?

Yes, they were button-downs and most even wore ties! (Good thing we read that article in Cosmo, huh?) No numbers changed hands that I know of, but we know where they live. Hmm...
