The roof. The roof. The roof is on fire!
Hi, I'm Tasha. Finish the lyric and that, ladies and gentlemen, accurately describes my day. Or yesterday. I work as a reporter for a small community newspaper so this was a big deal. So big, in fact, it took three-fourths of our staff news reporters (basically me and two of my fellow bloggers) to cover the blaze. Good times. (Those of you unfamiliar with me will soon learn that's one of the phrases I use to be sarcastic. Don't worry; you'll catch on.) But enough about that...I'm not sure how I ended up with the task (could be the insomnia), but I suppose it's up to me to describe how this venture came about. Writers Bloc 3 is a group of us ladies who, for reasons related to our place of employment, have formed a close bond and who do not have time for blogs individually. We're all creative sorts, mostly writers. (Get it? Writers Bloc? That joke was all Megan.) We decided after the exchange of numerous interoffice emails that a blog would probably be the best way to get our thoughts out to a wider audience and include those women who were smart enough to escape. (Not to mention, it'll give our families and friends an idea of how we spend our time.)Just like every other person/people with a blog, we think we have lots interesting things to say. So we're going to say them. Besides me, you'll be dealing with (but not limited to) the likes of Lorrie, Shavonne, Megan, Misty, Caroline, Mandy and Kathryn. You'll definitely hear from some of us more than others. And, believe me, we will not always agree but that's the point. I can guarantee that postings will range from the sensible to the ludicrous depending on who's writing and what her mood is. Due to our inexperience with blogging, it may take a while for the site to get just the way we want it, but be patient and you won't regret it. OK, that's my pitch. If you’re not bored of me yet, check out my description.
