A few things that make me happy (in no particular order)...

  • Sunny, breezy spring days
  • Daddy, Mama, Kylie and Adam
  • Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream
  • Sleeping in
  • All my good friends
  • Sports Night - It was a brilliant television show - witty, sarcastic and neurotic. Thank God someone was smart enough to put the entire series on DVD.
  • The right guy’s hand on the small of my back
  • Bowling Green, Ohio
  • Cows in harnesses (You won’t get this unless you’ve seen “Lake Placid.”)
  • “The Princess Bride” - How can anyone not laugh during this movie? (I’m not even going to start quoting lines because then I’ll never stop.)
  • Getting flowers unexpectedly
  • “Casing a joint”
  • Music from the 1980s
  • The funny voices my friends employ when saying certain phrases. Examples: “I… heart… you.” “You don’t like Enrique?” “Car go zoom!” “Cheese ‘n rice!”
  • Shavonne’s laugh (It’s actually contagious.)
  • Dancing, whether it’s waltzing at a wedding or shaking my hips in a club.
  • Hiking along a new path
  • Writing
  • My days off work (I felt it necessary to put this and the last one close together to make a point.)
  • 24 - I f***ing love this show! (Jack Bauer/Kiefer Sutherland, Tony Almeida/Carlos Bernard and President David Palmer/Dennis Haysbert are just great. At least two of them are back this season. (I can hope for Dennis to make a guess appearance yet.)
  • A bubble bath filled to the rim
  • A pair of jeans that really fit
  • Finishing a good book
  • A cup of hot chamomile tea on a cool day
  • Everything from Kickers - The food and atmosphere are the best!

And that's just for starters.

Finding the perfect picture through my camera lens.
Finding the perfect picture through the lens that's always in my head, even when I'm not carrying a camera.
Laughing so hard that I'm afraid my drink will come out my nose.
A weeping willow at sunset.
Memories of walking through London at dusk.
Late-night talks with girlfriends.
First kisses.
A guy's strong, soft hand on your face when you kiss.
Driving on the first warm day of spring with the windows down and the radio blaring.
Finding the exact words you want.
Realizing there are no words for what you want to say.
