Objects in mirror not as fuzzy as they appear.
There are only some things you can do with your girlfriends.1. Go shopping. What’s the point of trying on clothes when no one is there to tell me those pants make my ass look huge or that I look hot in that dress? Good friends will spend the whole day following me around in search of the perfect outfit and vice versa. They also can push me into spending little (or lots) of money when the occasion calls for it.
2. Take pictures. Photos are a good way to share with faraway friends, but taking my own picture doesn’t really work. Without the flash it’s fuzzy, but with a flash leaves a glare in a mirror. See the photo. See what happens when I'm left to my own devices? It’s a good example of 1 and 2.)
3. Play wingwoman. As great as guy friends are, you cannot take them out to a bar or club if you want to flirt with someone. (Sorry Jeff!) It’s a better bet that a guy will approach two girls, especially if the guy came with a friend. Besides, you need a girl’s second opinion when beer goggles are involved.
4. Provide an “out.” Whether it’s getting out of a bad date or equally hairy position, friends would come quickly to aid without question. Of course, they expect a full explanation afterward. Which leads to…
5. Supply the ice cream. Who else can look at me, judge my mood within half a second, and know which dessert is appropriate for the situation? Some of my favorite memories are sharing a snack while laughing/crying/venting about nothing and everything.
I was reminded today how much I miss just hanging out and enjoying female company. I miss you girls!

All through high school and college, it always seemed like I had more guy friends than girlfriends. That really changed when I met the girls of the "sister circle." Now I really appreciate the value of girlfriends--which makes me miss all of you even more! Tasha, anytime you want to fly out to the east coast and go shopping or prowling for men, I'm game!
