Let there be art...

Tasha and I have been staring at a blank wall above our fireplace for more than two months now, trying to figure out what to put there. We went online about a month ago looking for large art prints that would work, but then decided we were too poor for that. At one point we were talking about painting something ourselves--but then we decided we were also too poor for that (who knew paint and canvas were so expensive???) and that we were definitely way too untalented for that.

So I'd been thinking maybe I could take some kind of abstract photo and use that. Then, while we were on our trip south, Tasha and Caroline both bought these beautiful glass witch's balls. I was sitting on Caroline's couch, playing around with my camera and looking up at the slowly spinning ball with swirls of light blue and inspiration struck. So I snapped a few pics, then later took some photos of Tasha's multi-colored ball. I took the pictures, played around in Photoshop a bit, and eventually came up with something I liked, then got it printed poster size. We now have art, and our apartment finally looks somewhat decorated. Now all we need are curtains. Let us know what you think...
